VENI, VIDI, VICI
Like Julius Caesar, Francisco Porcella arrived from Hawaii to his family roots in Sardinia and won the Nissan Wavemaster, the top Italian wavesailing contest held at the end of March in the west coast of Sardinia.
The 20 year old Maui boy was far superior than the other 16 top Italian finalists in epic conditions at Funtana Meiga (Oristano).
Fifty + knots of wind, most guys overpowered with 3.7/4.0 sails, mast high waves and freezing cold temperature (8-10° celsius) did not stop the strong rider of Simmer, Drops, Da Kine, Maverx International team.
During all five heats he prooved his superiority with high push loops and clean rides, in real Hookipa style.
The next appointment for Francisco in european waters will be In June at Guincho.
